Our Services

Public Distribution System

We help the Government serve the citizens of India better through the biometric Smart
Card-based Public Distribution System (PDS). The project has been initiated by the Department of
Food & Public Distribution, aimed towards making PDS in Haryana more transparent, efficient,
effective and accountable.

Through the initiative, our objective is to empower the Central and State Government in
procurement, storage, transportation and bulk allocation of foodgrains through our retail network.
We shall assist the Government in distribution of subsidised food and non-food items (such as
wheat, rice, sugar and kerosene) to India's poor.

As part of this project, we are involved in procuring, commissioning and maintaining the Smart
Card Infrastructure. Our goal is to create 6 million UID-linked Smart Ration Cards, besides installing
and operating 9,300 Smart Card POS Terminals. Besides the above, we undertake other operational responsibilities of the Department, such as identification of Below Poverty Line families, issuance of ration cards and monitoring of Fair Price Shops.

Our Scope of Activities under PDS include:
•  Creation of 6 million UID-linked Smart Ration Cards
•  Installation and operation of 9,300 Smart Card POS Terminals
•  Software development for POS, Call Centre, Data digitisation
•  Smart card personalisation and printing
